What is natural footwear? (aka barefoot/minimal footwear)
You would think that all shoes are designed to be healthy for your feet, posture and movement……FALSE. Most modern shoes prevent our feet from functioning optimally. Humans evolved to be barefoot and that’s how our feet function best. They splay nice and wide when we’re upright, the muscles of the foot should be strong and active to support a stable arch in the foot and our ankle muscles are plenty capable of absorbing the impact forces of activities like running. Natural footwear lets your foot act like it would when barefoot while providing a single important benefit: protecting the sole of your foot from damage.
This workshop delivers a hands on session where anyone can learn and more importantly experience restoring and rewiring their feet and hips. This single day 6 hour seminar covers a deep understanding of foot + hip optimization.
This workshop is directed and open to anyone: Runners, lifters, athletes of any kind, physical therapists, personal trainers, physicians and anyone else that wants to improve their own feet & hips or help others do the same.
